Families

At ‘Belong, Learn, transform’ our children and their families are at the heart of what we do. We recognise that families know their children better than anyone else. Right from the start we try our best to ensure that we spend time listening to families and home schools to find out as much as we can, as we believe we can work best together to support each child. Each family is unique and we strive hard to ensure that every family feels both valued and supported.

Families have often been on an incredible journey before their child is referred to us. We understand that families feel uncertain about what the future holds and may carry a sense of anxiety, therefore we work hard to listen to family voice and communicate weekly with progress updates. We also work with Reconnect Ed coaches who work with our students on a 1-to-1 basis and then continue to support them – and their families – as they transition back to their home schools or onto their new educational settings.
